Although there are a number of ways to get started in the sport of Karting, one of the most popular is to visit a local Kart racing track like one of the participating tracks listed here on the CJKC web site.  They can provide your future little Mario Andretti with a rental Kart specifically designed for their age, size and weight.  The CJKC club focuses on developing drivers ages 5 to12 years old.  Of course Kart racing is also available to anyone older and these same tracks are still the best place to get started.

Typically your first experience will consist of a safety briefing, the fitting of provided driving apparel, an explanation of the flags and a 10-15 min. session on the track.  It is always a good idea to rent a few times in order to get a feel for what Karting is really like before jumping in with both feet and making the necessary investments.
